This series of photographs explores the ideas of childhood, adulthood, and who I am as a person. What connects me to my childhood? What things did I enjoy as a child? What things do I enjoy still? How have the ways in which t interact with those things changed? What things have I not allowed myself to enjoy anymore because I am "not supposed to?" Does anyone even care If I still do those things? Do I care? Who Is the person I present to others?
Who is my "inner child?" Who am I?
I utilized deadpan portraiture and digital editing to contrast monotone and color photography to explore these topics. This, combined with the use of props ether directly from my childhood or similar in nature connects my current self to my childhood self.
